25 Days till departure
6am 10km city run with Lilo.
Such an amazing morning for an early run. I keep waking up at 5.30am every morning, and I am glad that now I can fit my run before everybody wakes up in the city.
Also I received the first donation after my run which added an extra level of “feel good” to my day.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Day 2 of 28 day running challenge.
10KM city run with Vodka.
Oh boy, it was hot today. I had to let Vodka go to the ocean 8 or 9 times during our ru. Too hot for a black pooch.I guess it teaches me a lesson to get my bum out in the mornings rather than trying to run an afternoon run. But nevertheless, I finished my 10km as promised. Sticking with my mission, i updated our website a bit, updating all the links and all the information for our 2013 mission.

Day 1 of 28 day running challenge.
10KM trail run with Lilo.
Finally finished my homework. I did all my research, talked to lots of people and this year I am doing something different for animal rescue efforts.
I always drop by at the local animal shelter wherever I go when I am on holidays and this year I thought I can just help by bringing as many supplies as I can to the shelters while visiting Aruba and Bonaire islands.

3 months to 30
4 miles run with Lilo.
I was off the grid for a while. I was a little lost in space, trying to figure out what to do. Finally I am off from work for 2 months, and these last past couple of days I have been reflecting on things that I want to achieve before I turn 30 in September 23rd. 3 months to 30. It is a milestones for me, and I want to make the most of this year where I can still enjoy being 20 something.

Day 123 – 127
I am not sleeping much lately. I feel like if I don’t check my Facebook or Twitter, I am going to miss what’s happening in the world, especially what’s happening in Turkey. So every couple of hour, I wake up, a bit panicked, check my phone.

Day 117 – 122
Some of you may know, but most of you may not. I am from Istanbul, Turkey and for me Run Bubbles Run is a gateway to change this world and inspire others to do the same. I have been dealing with mixed emotions since Friday after waking up to a facebook page full of photos of my friends wearing scuba goggles, chased by the police while they were peacefully taking a stand to protect a gorgeous park in the middle of Istanbul. I got furious seeing the brutality my friends saw and experienced.

Day 110 – 116
Double dutying today. I had Bar Method during my lunch break and then hit the road for a quick 3 miler with Lilo after work. Oh I must say it must have been the funniest run ever, Lilo had an epic dog life lesson: don’t mess with 2 mama Canadian geese. They were barricading the seawall looking after their little ones, I had to run thru them, but Lilo… she goes for them, and this time, she got attacked big time. It was so funny. I don’t think she’ll dare to cross them in the future.

Day 106, 107, 108 & 109!

Day 106, 107, 108 & 109!
Running and Bar Methoding. Life is really busy again, working every day, long hours… Feeling tired but I see the light at the end of this mad life.
While we are busy with our hectic lives, there is chaos around us again. The latest tornadoes earlier in Texas and now in Oklahoma are another proof that nature doesn’t play games. One of the worst tornadoes in recorded history brought destruction today to the town of Moore, Oklahoma. As of tonite, 51 people are reported dead, including at least 20 children.

Day 102, 103, 104 & 105!
Run, rollerblade, Bar Method, and don’t neglect writing… Lots of things happened within the last couple of day. I’ve got to cast my first vote as a Canadian. I have been waiting to be able to vote for a while since I am not able to vote for Turkish elections being this far away. The sad thing is, now both of my countries have governments that I am not supporting. It’s an odd feeling to be honest. Maybe one day everyone who is eligible to vote will stop being lazy and actually perform their civic duties. It’s the same story everywhere in the world.

Day 98, 99, 100 & 101!
First of all, can’t believe it’s been 100 days already. Second of us, I can’t believe I was grumpy enough to not write for the last 4 days. It was time for me get a taste of my own medicine, I ran in the rain. It’s a cycle; I feel down about the world’s events, about unfairness, unjustice, abuse and neglect… then I don’t go for a run. But actually all I need is to run. I fought all my fights, went over all of my issues and reminded myself all the goodness there is in this world. It’s mother’s day afterall.
