One month AFTER

I knew I can’t write this post without going for a run beforehand. It’s been a month with no running; putting on my running shoes (oh my dear running shoes) felt absolutely nostalgic. They were still covered with mountain dust, sweat and tears… It felt great to be out again. I have been rollerblading and biking lots since the race but to be honest I can’t wait to go back to running. Especially winter running.

5 Days to go
Repeat, 5 days to go. I have a feeling we’ll be passing last year’s amount tonite. What do you say? I hope so. I know we need a major sponsor to reach $10000 at this stage, but passing last year’s amount, it would feel good you know.
Tonite I am just reminded once more that, us, ordinary people who go to work every day, us who complain about our dishwashers here and there, us who go mental when it’s sunny and who go mad when it rains; we are just capable of doing great things when we get together.

I can’t thank you all enough for all your kind messages and encouraging words today. And of course also all your donations… It has been great, I am so happy to see so many of you supporting my cause and actually take the time to read and care about things. Big love from the bottom of my heart.
Today I need to share another story with you, since I have been asked for help from a dear friend who actually run an animal rescue organization himself (Let’s Adopt)

7pm 4 miles run with Lilo. I went to my happy spot again after tonite. I just love that trail, it’s up and down along the water…
I guess today’s biggest announcement is the video that we published today. It wasn’t an easy thing to do, it took a lot of work to record myself (and also it’s funny to record yourself when you run), Ollie offered his help with editing. And voila, we have a video.

Not much to say today.
You guys have been amazing. We raised more than $600 in one day. I just don’t have enough words to describe how I feel.
I also received an email from Search Dog Foundation saying that they will add Run Bubbles Run as one of their gift naming donors. So we may get our name in one of the trails or the welcome center of National Training Center.
So grateful to all of you who donated and who shared kind words of support with me.
It means the world.
It’s a happy Friday and you guys mean the world to me.
2 more weeks until the race. So happy to have you on my side.

17 Days to go
Pretty important things to share with you today. I got a mail from Search Dog Foundation today, and I can’t express my feelings, I can’t express how excited I am right at this moment.
First of all, a big big big thank you to all of you who has been supporting my cause. When I first learned about SDF I knew they deserved all the support they get; loving animals, fighting for animal rights and helping disaster relief all around the world.

22 Days to go

Today is the start of something new and fun.
I have 2 packages to give away from Icebreaker. One for men, one for women.
If you have ever done any fundraising yourself, you’ll know it’s really hard to ask for donations. So let’s make this a bit more like a game, so there is some excitement and some reward in the end.

34 Days to go

The weekend is over and it's Monday here in Istanbul already. I think I did so much cross training by dancing in the heat for the last 2 days that my fitness level hasn't changed a bit. My hours are really confused same as my body but my mom said I am kinda in a marathon mode, this whole trip is testing my endurance. Read more

43 Days to go

5 miles bike ride along the seawall. Such a lovely evening in Vancouver. I finished work, and took the girls to the beach for a swim. Oh they love to swim… The beach was packed with Vancouverites having a picnic watching the mountains and the ocean.
Tomorrow is a big day for me. 24 miles to run. It’s not going to be easy, but at least the weather is cooperating. I love to have some sunshine for couple of hours in early hours of the morning.

7pm 4miles run with Lilo (and my new runners)
Today I would like to share the story of another dog who turned from rescued to rescuer. Her name is Jezzie.
A beautiful Black Lab with loving eyes and a wagging tail, Jezzie had been sitting for many weeks on death row at the Sacramento County Animal Control, Kennel 4, Cage 35. Even on the day that she was scheduled to die her spirit could not be broken.
Thankfully, Jezzie’s last day at the shelter was different from the others. She was given a second chance at life.
