Day 123 – 127
I am not sleeping much lately. I feel like if I don’t check my Facebook or Twitter, I am going to miss what’s happening in the world, especially what’s happening in Turkey. So every couple of hour, I wake up, a bit panicked, check my phone.

Day 117 – 122
Some of you may know, but most of you may not. I am from Istanbul, Turkey and for me Run Bubbles Run is a gateway to change this world and inspire others to do the same. I have been dealing with mixed emotions since Friday after waking up to a facebook page full of photos of my friends wearing scuba goggles, chased by the police while they were peacefully taking a stand to protect a gorgeous park in the middle of Istanbul. I got furious seeing the brutality my friends saw and experienced.

Day 106, 107, 108 & 109!

Day 106, 107, 108 & 109!
Running and Bar Methoding. Life is really busy again, working every day, long hours… Feeling tired but I see the light at the end of this mad life.
While we are busy with our hectic lives, there is chaos around us again. The latest tornadoes earlier in Texas and now in Oklahoma are another proof that nature doesn’t play games. One of the worst tornadoes in recorded history brought destruction today to the town of Moore, Oklahoma. As of tonite, 51 people are reported dead, including at least 20 children.

Day 102, 103, 104 & 105!
Run, rollerblade, Bar Method, and don’t neglect writing… Lots of things happened within the last couple of day. I’ve got to cast my first vote as a Canadian. I have been waiting to be able to vote for a while since I am not able to vote for Turkish elections being this far away. The sad thing is, now both of my countries have governments that I am not supporting. It’s an odd feeling to be honest. Maybe one day everyone who is eligible to vote will stop being lazy and actually perform their civic duties. It’s the same story everywhere in the world.

Day 98, 99, 100 & 101!
First of all, can’t believe it’s been 100 days already. Second of us, I can’t believe I was grumpy enough to not write for the last 4 days. It was time for me get a taste of my own medicine, I ran in the rain. It’s a cycle; I feel down about the world’s events, about unfairness, unjustice, abuse and neglect… then I don’t go for a run. But actually all I need is to run. I fought all my fights, went over all of my issues and reminded myself all the goodness there is in this world. It’s mother’s day afterall.

Day 95, 96 & 97
Rollerblading, running and Bar Methoding in order. I am absolutely taking advantage of the weather this week. Being outdoors is so refreshing and rejuvenating. Lately, the stress levels at work have risen again, and the work hours are getting longer and longer. Being able to fit some exercise to my day makes me a sane person. It’s like restart button for me. Feeling cranky and pissy? Go for a run! Half an hour later you will feel so much better.

Day 92 & 93 and 94!
What glorious couple of days in Vancity! It’s amazing to see the energy shift in people. Everybody is all smiles, soaking up the sun. It feels like we are done hibernating, we are all ready to play.
And huge congratulations to all who ran the half marathon or the marathon today. It’s a huge accomplishment, and you should be so proud of yourselves. Vancouver half marathon was my first ever race in my life as a runner. This race means a lot to me.

Day 91

Day 91
Lunch time Bar Method. I realized that I have been writing for the last 3 months, and still not fundraising. A bit crazy. Things are getting more manageable in my life and I feel like end of June or beginning of July is going to be the month where I am going to need all your support. Meanwhile, I am trying to share as many rescue groups in need of donations with you all. Live in the moment, and donate $10 or $20 to a charity that depends on your support. It’s a good feeling to help others. It gives you that nice warm fuzzy feeling inside.

Day 89 & 90
4 miles run with Lilo today and Bar Method yesterday. It felt so nice to log off and go for a run after work today. It’s an awesome way of decompressing after a busy day in front of a computer. It’s especially an emotional day for me, it’s my great-grandmother birthday. She passed away 2 years ago, she was 97. I miss her, I miss her ways. It still puts a smile on my face when I remember telling her that she is stubborn, she would always say: “No hun, I am not stubborn. I have principles.”

Day 84, 85 & 86!
Bar Methoding lately. My left leg has an awkward pain when I walk lately, giving it a good rest before hitting the trails tomorrow morning. I am planning to do the Baden Powell from Deep Cove to Lynn Canyon. Let’s see if I still have the endurance to go the distance on the mountain tops.
Since I have been working a lot lately again, I realized I am picking up some bad habits that need to change.
