Day 73

No Comments Dogs, Life, Running

Day 73
5 miles trail running with Lilo.
Such a glorious day in Vancity. I have faith in you Vancouver, I am putting away all my winter cloths and bringing my summer dresses out. Don’t disappoint me or get me sick please. Today was just so nice out there, fresh mountain air and the sun peaking thru the forest… Nothing beats trail running. It makes everything so much better. It makes you feel so free and wild.

And yes, I want to train to qualify for Boston, and yes I need to get faster on the pavement… But the joy I get from trail running is so different that city running. Especially living in a city like Vancouver, where you have all the terrain available to you all year around, sometimes I find it hard to go around the seawall (which is still breathtaking). Maybe I can do my actually training runs during the week in the city and have a fun trail run on the weekend where I don’t bring my running watch or keep track of the distance. I just run to enjoy running.

I had this weekend off from work. I actually have been working almost 7 days a week for the last couple of weeks. This break was much needed to clear my head and focus on the things that matter to me.
So starting a new week tomorrow, I would like to invite each and every one to do a good deed benefitting the life of another, making someone else happy. A good deed will also improve your own life and will make you happy, knowing that you contributed to making our world a better place.

See tomorrow as the beginning of new you, or the you that you have been neglecting. We all have inside a basic decency and goodness. It’s really not complicated. You just have to decide on what you really want from your life and stick with it and do something about it (rather than leaving it for tomorrow).
I am ending it here, going to enjoy some quiet time at home with my loved ones. I hope you are lucky enough to have the same.
Lots of love. xo
