Day 39

Day 39
6am Bar Method. Today is brought to you by “how many dogs is required to finish a cup of yogurt in 5 seconds?” And I would like to congratulate all of us in spring time for surviving this one-hour-less-sleep-Monday. When I left for my class this morning, our oven clock was showing 4.45am. Ouch.
But no matter how tired I am, or how much of a hectic day I have, coming to a loving home makes it all go away.

I come home every day during lunch time. Mostly to spend time with the girls. Seriously, sitting down with them, having bit of a cuddle time or play time, makes things feel so much lighter. Today we had yogurt together and it just made my afternoon. I know It doesn’t feel great when it’s raining and dark outside to go for a walk after a long day at work, but actually sometimes, that little bit of a walk is all we need to eliminate the worries of the past day. Pets in general encourage playfulness, laughter, and exercise, and they just make our life a bit fuller.

And more on that thought, we are pretty lucky to have a loving, secure home to come back to. A place we feel comfortable, loved and looked after is a luxury that we take for granted most of the time. When things get difficult outside the home, you know you will be back to your family. Just imagine not knowing where you are going to be after a tough day at work or at school. Pretty scary. I feel like we all need to remind ourselves to look after one another and be present, especially when there is sickness, stress, uncertainty around.

Seeking shelter is a basic human need. The need for touch as well. So make sure you create and work on an environment that you and your loved ones are feeling loved, and are cared for. I look forward to coming to my home, to my girls and to the love of my life. And I will not take any of it for granted any single day. Life is too short and unpredictable to not appreciate important values that make your life more meaningful.
Hug your loved ones a bit tighter tonite.
Lots of love. xo
