111 Days to go

10am 9miles run on Baden Powell Trail from Grouse Mtn. to Lynn Canyon and back.
Pretty sweet run today. I only got lost once. I wasn’t really lost, just I was going the wrong way 🙂 Thank you Thierry for that app recommendation, it really helped me finding my way around today.
A bear bell; what a confidence booster.

I felt like nothing can stop me today. I had my bell (which made me feel like a run-away cow in the woods), my whistle, my medical kit and my watch. It sucked that they closed the entrance of Baden Powell trail at Grouse since they don’t want anyone to attempt the Grind just yet. I had to find an alternative entrance to the trail, which I managed.

Baden Powell from Grouse to Lynn Canyon is really nice. Not busy at all. Lots of long inclines and declines. They were manageable.

My knees are a bit sore now but I should be fine for tomorrow. I had my ice bath while sipping my chocolate milk. The best after run cure combo that ever worked for me really.

Next time I do this trail, I will take Vodka with me. I think she’ll love it. I took them to the field today to play fetch. I am glad it wasn’t raining back then. They are both nice and tired now.

Tomorrow is the last day of April. 2012 is going so fast. Why are we so busy all the time? Me and Ollie walked in the rain tonite, and it didn’t bother us at all. I really enjoyed walking home holding hands in the rain when the city was getting ready to end the weekend. Simple pleasures in life… We need more of those.
“Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.” ~ J. Lubbock

I think it’s time for me to go to bed as well. It’s been a long day and definitely I can use some rest. I hope you all had some fun this weekend, and did something spectacular.

Tomorrow is another day, sweet dreams to you all.
Good night, sleep tight, don’t wake up until the morning lights.
